1 bunch of greens of your choice, torn
4 strips bacon, crumbled
3-5 stalks green onions, chopped
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon raw honey
garlic powder, to taste
sea salt, to taste
splash of lemon juice (optional)
2 tablespoons hot bacon drippings
Tear greens and chop green onions. Combine in bowl.
Cook bacon over medium high heat. Remove bacon to plate. Combine vinegar, honey, garlic powder, sea salt, and lemon juice (optional). Add bacon drippings to vinegar mixture, stir to combine.
Poor hot dressing over greens and green onions, toss to coat. Crumble bacon over top.
Experiment with different greens to give this salad a different flavor and texture. For instance, mustard greens add a spicy twist to this classic southern salad.
